HOUSE NEWS 02.09.2023
Despite this week being a shorter week, our Primary students have continued to amaze us across the school as their hard work and diligent attitudes towards learning have seen more housepoints generously awarded. This week, Primary collectively earned 591 housepoints. Another great total to continue from the great start we’ve already seen. The battle between the 3 Houses was close again, but the winning House snatched victory with a 10 point lead.
The housepoints we awarded to each team was:
In 3rd place with 189 housepoints is Sapi!
In 2nd place with 196 housepoints is Gaya!
In 1st place with 206 housepoints is Sulug!
Our congratulations go to Sulug Sharks for their first win of this school year! Who will we be celebrating as Housepoint Champions next week?!
GO GAYA PANGOLINS! GO SAPI SUNBEARS! GO SULUG SHARKS!!
Each week we will share details of the Monthly Maths Challenges and Fun Dojo Challenges we share through the School Story on Class Dojo. These challenges are an optional activity Primary students can choose to complete and they will earn housepoints for their House totals for every challenge they take part with..

Fun Challenge

Our first Fun Challenge for this new school year is celebrating our return to school! Go on a scavenger hunt to find as many items as you can that all start with the letters found in BACK TO SCHOOL. For example, you might find a BOOK for B, an APPLE for A, a CUDDLY TOY for C. Can you find something for all the letters in the phrase for this chosen challenge?
Alternatively, if you’re feeling arty and creative this week, use the videos uploaded to the shared Google Drive folder to create some BACK TO SCHOOL drawings or draw your own picture of KIS.
Please share your completed challenge entries through this Google Form link:
Ms. Lisa in our Marketing Department may use some of the wonderful challenge submissions each week to celebrate and share your wonderful work through videos created for the KIS newsletter and social media sites.
