Ice Cream sales by the PTASC is returning April 1st!
In accordance with current SOP’s the PTASC will be selling a favourite Friday afternoon treat for the students. Please ensure your child has their money ready on the day for a tasty treat when school ends.
Earth Hour
The Eco-Warriors have convinced the school’s management to switch off electricity for one hour on the 25th of March to join the Earth Hour movement. Let’s show that all our community cares about our planet by joining Earth Hour on the 26th of March. Switch off all lights from 8.30 – 9.30 pm and take a picture of how your family is spending this time together: perhaps a candle lit board game session, stargazing, a quiet dinner with the kids already in bed? Share your moments through this link
Book Week!
Book week is finally back and we’re all welcome to participate!
Will there be brave parents showing up in their jammies on Pyjama Day, or as a Hero or Villain on Character Day?
More seriously, though, the organisers are looking for volunteers to read a story to the children at the school. This could be a story in your native language, or a folkloric story, or just a story you happen to love and would like to share. This could be done any time during book week. If you’d like to participate, please contact Ms Hitchen at khitchen@kis.edu.my
Book Swap
During the week of 28th March till 1st April there will be a box located in the main office for parents to bring in books and swap for other titles. Please be respectful and ensure books are in a good condition and of appropriate topics. Any books left in the box after this time will then be donated to the staff library.
