Dear KIS Community,

I am looking forward to today’s meeting of the leadership team with the KIS Board of Governors. The annual ‘Blue Sky Day’ is upon us, where both groups meet to discuss various aspects of KIS to support strategic development and direction for the school. The day is a great opportunity for staff development for our own leadership team; being able to work so closely with our Board members and have input into the strategic planning for our community.

Well done to all of our older students, who have over the past few weeks been taking mock IGCSE and A level exams. Not only will these be used by the exam boards as a safety net (in case of exam cancellations) but they are a great opportunity for our students to practice and understand what areas they need to focus on before their final exams in Term 3, which are rapidly approaching.

Before the upcoming holidays in April, which I know we are all looking forward to, we will be hosting one of our favourite annual events, Book Week. Please keep an eye on communications from school detailing all the information for the last week of term at the end of March.

A very warm welcome to Ms Ayan Haji (Math’s teacher) who has been completing her quarantine in KL this past week and will be arriving in KK tomorrow evening. We are very much looking forward to meeting her in person at school next week.

Finally, if you have some free time on Sunday from 8am to 12pm, head down to Pulau Gaya for a beach clean organised by Blu Hope.

Wishing you all a safe and relaxing weekend, and happy Pi day for Monday.
