From the Head of Primary 14.12.2019

I have tried to pick out a highlight of the week but have found the task virtually impossible.

With so many celebrations and events going on we have had a nonstop week of fun and laughter in Primary.
The Early Years and Primary sing-alongs on Tuesday were truly fabulous and were a great opportunity for us to come together as a school community. The Early Years children did us proud and were so confident at performing for their families and friends in the MPR.

On Tuesday evening, the Primary children were just brilliant and provided us with some wonderful entertainment to get us in the
festive mood. The staff and children all worked very hard in preparing for each event and we were all so pleased that so many parents were able to join us. In between all of this Father Christmas, accompanied by his PTA helpers, visited each primary classroom and gave the children some festive cookies to enjoy.

Wednesday saw the Year 1 extended assembly and the children did a great job of singing, public
speaking and providing their audience with a number of fascinating facts about the wild animals of
Borneo. Their writing and art work provided a wonderful display of all that they have learnt during
this term’s topic. A great job Year 1!

Thursday continued the busy week with children and staff enjoying their end of term parties. As I visited each class it was lovely to hear the laughter and see so many happy faces. During the afternoon the children set to work selling their enterprise products and between every year group we raised almost RM4, 000 for various charities of the children’s choice.

As this year draws to a close I would like to thank you all for your continued support of Primary and the many warm welcomes that have been extended to me during my fist term as KIS.

Wishing you all a wonderful holiday.
