This week’s newsletter is all about community collaboration. Mr Fletcher, one of our Year 3 class teachers, has been very busy this week encouraging us all to get involved in Movember.                                          Our male members of the community have trimmed, shaved, cut and cropped their facial features in preparation for Movember and growing a mo (moustache) for a bro.                                                               The ladies can also get involved too with some creative moustache designs worn as a fantastic accessory to any outfit.

Mr Fletcher has put together the first video of our clean-cut participants and each week he will update us on the progress of everyone’s hair growth.

Two of our Year 6 students Eloise and Shreedevi called me last week with a lovely idea to support the KIS community, raise spirits and keep everyone positive and upbeat. They would like to create a book of inspirational quotes sent in from the KIS community. Quotes can be original and your own or you might have a favourite quote that you have heard from someone else or found on the internet that you would like to share.

Think about how you would like to present your quote. Will you include an illustration or a photograph? What font will you use? Will it be handwritten or will you use technology to present your quote? Here are a few examples to get you thinking.

The options are endless so be creative in your submissions. It would be great if you could include a picture of yourself with your quote. The deadline is Friday 20th November and your quotes should be shared here https://www.kis.edu.my/upload/

Wishing you all a wonderfully positive weekend.
