From the Head of PE & Sport 20.04.2024

As mentioned last week, we are already looking at a very exciting and action packed final term in PE and Sport and we now have one more event on the cards with the introduction of a KIS Tennis Tournament that will be open to all KIS community members. More details below!

KIS Tennis Fun Match – Wednesday 22nd March

Tennis is a tremendously popular sport with many members of the KIS community engaged in this physical activity in both recreational and competitive forms.

I was approached at the end of Term 2 about the possibility of helping to organise a friendly tennis competition for students, staff and parents alike. Never one to say no to an opportunity to promote physical activity in all its fun forms, I thought this was a fantastic idea and opportunity to bring our KIS community together.

The tournament will be held on Wednesday 22nd May, but don’t worry – no need to skip school, it’s our public holiday for Wesak Day. The venue will be Likas Tennis Courts on Jalan Komplex Sukan.

The tournament will involve matches of doubles and mixed doubles with different age groups for students in Primary and Secondary and then a ‘Beginner’ and ‘Intermediate’ division for the adults based on individual experience level.

Cost to enter the tournament is RM20 per person and the deadline to find your tennis buddy and enter will be Tuesday 7th May. Following the close of registrations the organisers will create the match schedule and we will distribute this to all players.

If you would like to know any more about the tournament then please contact Em Rao by whatsapp on 019 830 5324.

I’m looking forward to seeing the community get behind this fun event and enjoy the midweek day off!

Save the date – Early Years Pirates Sports Morning

On Monday 13th May we are ‘Arrr’ very excited to be holding our Early Years Sports Moring for students in Reception, F1 and F1.

This year, our students will be playing the parts of pirates as they look to steal some treasure, attack other pirate ships, walk the plank and celebrate their plundering ways with some pirate dance.

Students are encouraged to dress up for the event and parents are all welcome to come and enjoy the show as well!

The event will take place in the school Hall from 8:00-10:00am.

Liga SupaRimau Season B

All Vipers were back on the training pitch on Thursday starting their preparations for new season starting in May.

More details to follow on schedules when they come out.
