FOBISIA Virtual Running Challenge
A couple of weeks ago I spoke about the upcoming FOBISIA Virtual Running competition. The especially great thing about this event is that it is open to all members of the KIS community – students, staff…and PARENTS!
Students have the option of completing one of three distances based on their age:
U11 = 3km
U15 = 5km
U18 = 10km
All other community members can enter the Open Age Category by completing 10km.
Times will then be compared with all other participants across the FOBISIA schools network.
Entries will only be accepted from Friday the 18th March to 1st April. You can enter as many times as you wish by editing your response on the original Google Form that will be shared before Friday.
To make things a little more exciting, and to give everyone a chance to support their respective Houses throughout the challenge – Gaya Pangolins, Sapi Sunbears or Sulug Sharks – in their pursuit of the top place on the leaderboard as we head into the term break – everyone has the chance to be rewarded with House Points through the “Pokémon gotta catch em all teacher challenge.”
A number of staff have found themselves transformed into some pretty crazy characters with nifty special powers. Can you can ‘fly’ faster than Dragonite to grab 5 bonus House points? Or maybe you can move as fast as the cat like Persian to earn 10 bonus House points by covering 5km in less than 30 mins. For the older and more experienced ‘trainers’ try your hand at capturing the very speedy and elusive Arcanine by running 10km in under 50mins!
Check out the full list of all the Pokemon that you can catch here!

I recommend trying to fit in a training run or walk over the weekend in order to give yourself the best opportunity of catching some of those trickier Pokémon!
