Primary Sport Mornings
We are very excited and looking forward to our first PE events in two and a half years with the upcoming Primary Sports Mornings.
These events will involve students coming together in combined year groups to represent their respective Houses and taking part in a series of games and activities.
The Sport Mornings will replace students’ normal PE lessons for that week. Students will need to come to school dressed in their PE uniforms on the day of their particular Sport Morning. They will also need their PE hat and a large water bottle to stay hydrated and energised throughout the morning’s events. The dates for which are outlined below.
Monday 20th June (8:00-9:45am) = F1 and F2
Tuesday 21st June (8:00-10:00am) = Year 5 and Year 6
Wednesday 22nd June (8:00-10:00am) = Year 3 and Year 4
Thursday 23rd June (8:00-9:00am) = Year 1 and Year 2
Parents are invited and encouraged to come into school to watch and cheer on the children as they enjoy challenging themselves and testing some of their skills in a range of fun activities.
Year 7 and Year 8 offsite lessons begin next week
Whilst Year 9 and 10 have been loving having the opportunity to be playing futsal and floorball this term at Borneo Sports Arena as part of their PE program; students in Year 7 and Year 8 will FINALLY get the chance to also travel offsite and have a couple of ‘taster’ sessions for the sports themselves.
For any parents and students who are still unfamiliar with how the offsite lessons work. Students will meet their teachers at the beginning of Lesson 3 at their normal PE time and will travel by bus to Borneo Sports Arena. The current SOPs DO NOT require students to scan in using MySejahtera and so students will not need to take anything to the venue except for a large water bottle to ensure they keep hydrated while enjoying their lessons.
The program for the remainder of the Year and offsite lessons can be seen below.
