Get up and MOVE Challenge
If you haven’t already planned to get outside and enjoy the weekend with a walk up one of the many Bukits around KK, or maybe take to the water and see what’s hiding under the sea with some snorkeling or diving, or possibly even get some badminton rackets out and have a casual game with family and friends – make sure you do as these are the last 2 days to log your physical activity in the Get up and MOVE Challenge!
I will be closing access to the Google Form at midnight on Sunday and so you have until then to log any final fitness workouts or physical activities to add to your respective team totals.
The competition has gotten even closer in the last week and every minute and meter will count!
Congratulations to all those in Gaya as they were the first of the three houses to reach the top of Mount Kinabalu! Sapi are well within striking distance though and with a strong effort over the weekend could snatch a last-minute victory from the Pangolins if they are not careful having thus far led the whole competition. Sulug has a big role to play to help with getting the Students over the finish line.
Currently, without revealing the most recent distance, the Parents and the Students are separated by less than 200m in the overall competition.
INDIVIDUAL TEAM PLACINGS

COMBINED TEAM PLACINGS
No changes to the overall positions, BUT the gaps have narrowed with the Students closing in on the Parents, and the Staff still determinedly chasing down the Students.

All the final standings and results will be revealed in next week’s newsletter as we will crown the next champion of the Get up and MOVE Challenge.
Thank you once again to all the students, staff and parents of the KIS community for getting involved in the event. I have enjoyed seeing your entries roll in over the past 4 weeks. Keep the great photos and even short videos coming so we can put them together in a final highlights video to celebrate and showcase the incredibly active community we have!
