From the Eco Warriors 10.06.2023

Even throughout the exam period, our Secondary Eco-Warriors have been busy thinking about how to reduce the waste we produce at KIS. They would like to celebrate everyone who has been bringing their own container for snack or lunch, as this is helping reduce the amount of packaging we send to landfill. Remember this is a warm up month before next year when there will be a small cost for paper packaging, in line with many leading retailers.

The EWs are also starting their Food Waste Campaign and next week they will be asking secondary students to return their containers to a central point to empty which will allow them to weigh all food wasted and understand this issue a bit more.

In other news, we would like to invite you to join us at the Beach Clean Up being organised and hosted by Trash Hero Kota Kinabalu and Tanjung Aru Eco Development. This is on Sunday 18th June, 8-10am and all students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. This is not a KIS organised event.
