From the Head of Secondary, 23.03.19
Sixth Form
Our Sixth Form students have recently had a very stressful period. Last week they took their mock examinations for their A level subjects and now they are anxiously awaiting their results. The mock examinations will enable them to form a basis for their revision for the real examinations, which are not far away now.
Also in the Sixth Form we have had speakers come in from Universities. A few weeks ago we had a speaker from the prestigious University of Edinburgh talk to our students about universities in general and the types of courses offered at the University of Edinburgh. This week we had a visitor come to talk about the University of Kent, and University life there. Our students in Year 12 were very interested and had many questions to ask.
This is a good time for Year 12 to start considering their needs after A levels are over. After the June examinations are over we will be having a Careers session with them over three days, where they will be able to discover more about University choices and life.
