Dear KIS Community,

A hearty congratulations and thank you to everyone who took part in the 50th Anniversary Fun Run last weekend. It really was a great occasion for hundreds of people from across our community to get together and enjoy a social morning with some exercise. Thank you to the many volunteers for helping, and to Shirley Yu and Nicole Gervasi for organising. There can only be one 50th Anniversary Year and thank you to everyone who was able support this event. Our next anniversary event is just around the corner, it is an exclusive cocktail evening for adults only, a limited number of just 100 tickets are available. Each event hosted has a lucky draw where you can win up to RM5000 off of school fees.

It is important to note that all funds raised through our fundraising activities will be used to support the events planned for our 50th anniversary celebrations, as well as to make donations to our yet to be chosen charities. We are committed to being transparent about how the funds will be used, and we will provide regular updates to ensure that you are fully informed about the impact of your contributions. Mrs Renshaw is arranging with the Charity Committee to publicise our efforts in a more visual manner.

A big Kaamatan thank you to our PTASC for arranging the FlyingDusun troupe to visit KIS last week, helping us celebrate the Harvest Festival. Despite the weather restrictions the whole school still managed to enjoy the loud and vibrant celebrations in the morning. You can see many photos throughout this weeks newsletter.

Following the public holiday on Monday, our secondary students will be starting their end of year exams and we wish them all the best for these. During this week, there will be another Safeguarding and Child Protection Coffee Morning on the Wednesday (in the Drama Room). The following week, make sure you have tickets ready for the return of the school production. This year we are hosting Macbeth, and this promises to be a fantastic couple of evenings with the students having spent much of the year rehearsing with Mr Bryant. Limited tickets are available, get yours soon.

So much more is happening as we build to the end of an already very busy school year.

Have a lovely long weekend,

Ian Gross
