SECONDARY HOUSE NEWS
We have introduced a vlog ‘in-House’ which gives an insight of what is on offer each week. We have introduced the House Sport ECA to give students a weekly opportunity to compete against each other. It has been great to see students participate in the weekly quiz, chess matches and 2ball. Although the House Limbo competition is still stuck in my mind as a memorable one.
I am sure the teams will go from strength to strength in term two and I am looking forward to seeing what we can deliver.
The Term 1 standings are as follows (this includes both House Points and Merits):
Sapi: 3008
Sulug: 2930
Gaya: 2828
*The time of writing these points is Thursday morning meaning they do not include House Day points and any merits given from then.
I hope everyone enjoys a restful break.
Happy Holidays!

HOUSEPOINT TOTAL
What an exciting term we have had in the Housepoint Competition as the totals have see-sawed back and forth between the Houses each week and totals have been so close as to keep us on the edge of our seats wondering who will pull out a win from one week to the next!
This final week of term 1 was no exception to the excitement building as we waited to find out which House would be on top. With fun events happening right up to the end of term, the housepoint totals had a healthy boost thanks to Book Week and our fun House Challenge morning!
For the final totals collected this week, Primary earned a massive 3,473 housepoints which is a fantastic high on which to end the term! However, only 3 housepoints separated the first place House from everyone else so the battle is still on!
The housepoints awarded to our 3 Houses in the final week of Term 1 was:
In 3rd place with 1,152 housepoints is Sapi!
In 2nd place with 1,159 housepoints is Gaya!
In 1st place with 1,162 housepoints is Sulug!
How many housepoints will separate the Termly winners? After an exciting House Challenge morning, points earned from that were added to the overall totals and we discovered the following results!
House Challenge Morning Results:
The three houses all earned 1,875 housepoints from a morning of fun challenges! Great work to all Houses and thanks to all the teachers who worked so hard to create a successful House Challenge morning.
The housepoints awarded to each House completing their challenges is:
In 3rd place with 547 housepoints is Sulug!
In 2nd place with 634 housepoints is Sapi!
In 1st place with 694 housepoints is Gaya!
Term 1 Housepoint Totals:
Overall, in Term 1 our three Houses have earned a massive 15,560 housepoints! Well done to everyone who has done their part to earn this wonderful total.
The individual House totals are as follows:
In 3rd place with 5,140 housepoints is Sapi!
In 2nd place with 5,189 housepoints is Sulug!
In 1st place with 5,231 housepoints is Gaya!
Our congratulations go to Gaya Pangolins for their overall win in this first term!! Excitingly, the battle continues into Term 2 and we look forward to more challenges, House events and fun as we continue to add to these totals!

DOJO CHALLENGE THIS WEEK!
What a fabulous first term of House challenges we have had! It has been wonderful to see so many amazing submissions to the Weekly Fun challenges as well as the Monthly Maths challenges throughout this first term. In our End of Term Celebration assembly we had the opportunity to enjoy reflecting on many of the submissions to our challenges from this term through a celebration video. We hope you enjoy watching it too, following this link!
Helping us to finish off this term of challenges was a fun House Challenge morning where year groups paired up and competed in Houses to fulfil a variety of fun challenges. Results from the challenge morning was shared on Class Dojo and make sure you look out for a fun video showing some of the highlights from the morning’s challenges. We’ll share this on Dojo soon!
Well done to everyone who has taken part in one or more of the challenges throughout this term! I cannot wait to see what challenges we’ll take on in Term 2 and excitedly look forward to seeing all your entries coming up next term!
