TAME
If you have free time this weekend, why not head on down to the Tanjung Aru Marine Ecosystem Centre. They are hosting an event, which is being run in conjunction with World Ocean Day, over the next three weekends. They are organising a series of events and workshops which will run from 2pm-6pm to raise awareness. On Saturday at 3pm, one of our very own students, Julia in Y9, will be delivering a talk about a couple of projects she has set up; Seed of Hope and Bubbles of Hope.
Dear Parents,
With our school Arts Day (29th June) approaching, I wanted to draw on the artistic prowess of our parent community. As such, I would like to invite you to run an art ‘pop up’ activity at some point throughout the day. These sessions can be anything to do with the arts, including music, dance, art, beading/jewellery making and textiles. Your allocated session will last from 45 minutes to 1 hour, but your activity should only be a quick 10-minute activity that the children will rotate around.
If you think that this is something you would like to take part in, please sign up for a slot on the GoogleDoc linked below. Please include your name, your child’s name and class (so I can get in touch with you to confirm), and what type of activity you will be doing. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me via email, at sadams@kis.edu.my

Summer Fair 2022
Summer Fair is coming soon on Saturday, 25th June 2022, from 9 am – 1 pm. There will be lots of activities for our students to participate in, such as face painting, karaoke, indoor and outdoor games, and our favourite event of the day, ‘Sponge the Teachers’, by the Secondary Student Council.
As we will be celebrating our 50th Anniversary next year, this year’s Summer Fair will be funding for the celebration. Tickets for the games only will be available to purchase after the half-term break, at the front office, or from Ms Ann. It will cost RM 10 per ticket of ten stamps.
We are also looking for interested vendors to participate in this event; booths are limited, so if you are interested, please get in touch with Ms Ann at ann@kis.edu.my for more information. (Special rate for our KIS community applied)
