From the Head of PE and Sport 19.03.2022
This event is now up and RUNNING! So put your trainers on KIS and hit the pavement to register a run over the next 2 weeks. Remember in addition to being able to test your times against runners from all over the FOBISIA schools network, you also have a great opportunity to earn valuable house points for your respective teams by catching the Pokemon! (see the attached poster).
In order to enter the FOBISIA Virtual running challenge please scan the QR code on the attached poster and complete the details.

You can complete your run any time between now and Friday 1st April. If you go out and better your time from an earlier entry you can also go back and edit your original entry!
To register your success at catching one of the Pokémon and be rewarded with Dojo’s and House Points, then you must also fill in this separate Google Form that is only for the KIS community. Click on the link here – KIS Pokémon Challenge
Remember, this event is open to ALL member of the school community. Parents can also see how they measure up against the staff Pokémon by entering their runs and earning points for their children’s House team.
Let’s go KIS, lace up your shoes, grab your water bottle and get out and catch some Pokémon!
Resumption of offsite lessons in Secondary PE
Parents of students in Years 7-10 should have all received a letter and also a Google Form with details about our plans to resume offsite lessons during PE lessons.
For students in Years 7 and 8 and any new students who have joined us over the past 2 years, and their parents, you may be wondering what this entails.
As part of the PE curriculum we benefit from being able to transport students via buses to a range of venues around KK in order to participate in a variety of physical activities that cannot be completed at school. These have included in the past: futsal, handball and floorball at Borneo Sports Arena, badminton, golf and swimming.
Students leave school at the start of lesson 3, accompanied by staff, and then return to school at the end of lesson 4 for normal lunch.
We are currently awaiting news as to any new changes to the SOPs for conducting sports and physical activity at school that will determine what activities we can offer in Term 3.
More information will be sent home prior to the holidays, but if you have any questions about offsite PE activities then please do get in touch. Also, if you have not already done so, please make sure you complete the google form by clicking the link here.
Have a wonderful weekend!
