PRIMARY HOUSE POINT AWARDS
Looking at the individual totals that Primary students have earned so far, I’m certain that we will be able to present the next milestone of awards before we reach the end of this second term! What an amazing achievement it will be to award the first of our Head Teacher Awards to those students who have earned 160 housepoints!
Until then, we proudly presented another set of Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards to students across the whole of Primary. Please join me in congratulating the continuing hard work and efforts of these amazing individuals.

All the excitement and amazing work from our Marvellous day of Maths earlier this week has helped to add some well earned housepoints to the totals in this week’s battle! Primary students have amassed a very impressive 1,077 housepoints overall but the battle for the top spot was as close as ever and had everyone on the edge of their seats during the housepoint reveal in our weekly assembly!
The housepoints awarded to each team was:
In 3rd place, with 353 housepoints is Sapi!
In 2nd place with 360 housepoints is Gaya!
In 1st place with 364 housepoints is Sulug!
Our congratulations go to Sulug Sharks for securing another win this term!! Who will we be celebrating as Housepoint Champions next week?!

DOJO CHALLENGE
What an amazing selection of activities and completed challenges shared from our Primary students and linked to Pi Day! Students throughout the Primary school showed off their amazing memory skills, art work, crafting, baking and Pi knowledge with a great selection of challenges. Well done to everyone who participated and helped to earn housepoints towards their team total! Sapi Sunbears were victorious as the House with the largest number of entries in the challenge this week.
This is the final week to complete the Monthly Maths challenges linking to the special days and events that happen all through March! There is a challenge suitable for F1&F2, Y1&Y2, Y3&4 and Y5&Y6 to complete so choose the challenge that matches your class and complete it! Check out the Google folder for all the resources you need for your chosen Maths challenge and share your solutions! Due date for all completed March Maths Challenges is Friday 25th March 2022.
The Life Thru a Lens challenge
Our Fun Dojo Challenge sees the return of our Primary school photo competition for the 4th time this year. The Life Thru a Lens challenge is back again this week, inviting you all to go to the EXTREME as you find weird and wacky places to read your books! As we will be celebrating Book Week across KIS in a couple of week’s time, this challenge will get us well prepared for that fantastic school event! So, grab your favourite book, find the most extreme place you can to read it and snap a photo to show us your Extreme Reading!

Ms. Lisa in our Marketing Department will use some of the wonderful challenge submissions each week to celebrate and share your wonderful work through videos created for KIS social media sites. Please use the link above, complete the required information in the Google Form and upload your photos.

SECONDARY HOUSE NEWS
The NBA 2Ball League continues to grow in popularity and has now had 30 pairings compete in the “league” is played each Monday for the rest of term 2 in the Sports Hall at lunch.

It has been a busy time since I last wrote with a number of competitions running during this period.
Elbow Stack catch
This challenge involved fast hands and students had to catch 3 balls of paper balanced on their elbow before they hit the ground.
Those students that managed to successfully complete the task and score a point for their house were:-
The Shoe Challenge
This was a very entertaining lunchtime challenge that required participants to lie on their back with a shoe balanced on their foot. Without dropping the shoe participants had to log roll through 360 degrees to complete the task. Tough!
Those to successfully complete the challenge were:-
The last two weeks have seen considerable change in the overall house positions. SAPI has surged from a distant last into the lead! This is largely due to a rush on Merits for SAPI. Meanwhile, GAYA is holding onto second whilst term 1 leaders SULUG lying in third.
