What a fabulous week we have had!

It has been so wonderful to see all the students back where they belong, physically in the classroom, with their teachers guiding and supporting them in their learning. I have truly enjoyed taking daily tours of the school to see all the amazing learning opportunities that are happening and the huge smiles on everyone’s faces! A big thank you to all students, parents and staff for doing their part to make it such a successful return to school.

This week the ‘Spotlight is on….

Year 2’

This week the Year 2s have been familiarising themselves with their new environment, taking advantage of the huge space we have spanning across two classrooms!

We have been busy learning about explorers and have started to learn about some famous pirates like Blackbeard, Black Bart, Anne Bonny and Mary Read. The Year 2s have loved dressing up in pirate costumes and using the pirate ship role play area. They have also spent some time making their own pirate ships using lollipop sticks and have even tested out the buoyancy!

It’s been a fun-filled week in Year 2 and an absolute blast having everyone back in school!

Take a look at some of our students fabulous photos for the Young Attenborough Photo Competition:

I can’t wait to see who the winners are!

Don’t forget this is the last week to add photos for our monthly competition ‘Life after Lockdown’:

Finally, I would like to extend a very warm welcome to a new student  who joined us this week:
