PRIMARY HOUSE NEWS

This week gave us the opportunity to celebrate even more of our amazing students as they earned their Silver Award for reaching 80 housepoints. It is such a great achievement during a normal school year, but should be especially commended during these difficult times.
The printers have been hard at work this week, as I have been busy printing out the certificates that we have presented online so far this year. They are ready to be presented to the individual students who have earned them! I am looking forward to presenting more awards as they are earned each week!
Congratulations for Bronze Awards this week go to :
Y1: Ally
Y2: Benjamin and Casper
Y5: Mabel
Congratulations for Silver Awards this week go to:
Y1: Samaira
Y3: Autumn, Gabriel, Kayden and Zoe
Y4: Adel
We cannot wait until we are back in school when we can present you with your certificates! Well done!!

Housepoint Totals
Another week in our Housepoint race and it was another nail bitingly close result with only 7 points separating the Houses! Everyone continues to work so hard and show the qualities of learning we associate with KIS students and it’s wonderful to see the amazing results reflected in such a close weekly battle!
The housepoints awarded to each team was:
In 3rd place, with 281 housepoints is Sapi!
In 2nd place with 285 housepoints is Sulug!
In 1st place with 288 housepoints is Gaya!
Our congratulations go to the Gaya Pangolins for their second win across this term! Who will we be celebrating next week?
GO GAYA PANGOLINS! GO SAPI SUNBEARS!! GO SULUG SHARKS!!!
This week we have seen some wonderful and amazing photos showing the wide variety of animals that we can see around us in KK, as well as those animals we see when we are able to travel a little further afield. I’m excited to be joined next week (virtually, of course!) by a group of guest judges who will be working with Ms. Hitchen, Mr. Beresford and Mrs. Garrick to choose the winning photos. We’re excited to announce the results of the Young Attenborough Photography Competition soon!
This is the last week to attempt the Monthly Maths Challenge for November. There is a challenge suitable for F1&F2, Year 1&2, Year 3&4 or Year 5&6 challenges! Good luck everyone taking on the maths challenge! All entries are due by Friday 26th November 2021.
Our Fun Challenge this week is a competition with an art focus.
Inspiring quotes work in amazing ways to help push us on to achieve our best, so this week you are challenged to create a quote of inspiration that will inspire everyone in Primary. You can write your own quote or use a quote that you love which inspires you. Create a poster showing your quote, decorating it with pictures, colours and patterns. The winning quote will be displayed on the walls of Primary so we can all be inspired! Closing date for all quote entries is Friday 26th November 2021.
