From the Principal 28.08.2021
Dear KIS Community,
School is back in full swing, albeit from a distance and I am hearing positive feedback from staff, students and parents. Please do keep us informed on how you and your children are coping from home and we will do what we can to support you with any challenges.
Many of our new staff are already in Malaysia and will be making their way across to KK next weekend. With a just a couple more approvals from immigration to come we will have the rest of our new staff joining us shortly. We look forward to meeting them all in person (with masks) very soon.
Parental contact is very important to us and whilst we are currently unable to hold the usual ‘drop off & drop in’ coffee mornings we will be setting up virtual sessions for primary and secondary where parents can meet and chat with members of school leadership and discuss different aspects of school life. We will be writing to you to explain more and hope you are able to join in and have a chat.
Finally, on behalf of the KIS community, I would just like to congratulate Mr Lowrince (Head of Cleaning) and his wife on the birth of their fourth son, Aaron, last weekend. Mother and son are both doing well.
Have a lovely weekend and enjoy Merdeka Day on Tuesday,
Ian Gross
Principal
