From the Head of Primary 31.10.2020
This week’s assembly was certainly a frightening Friday frenzy. Ghosts and googlies, witches and wizards, Spiderman and the grim reaper were among the many guests who joined us for our weekly live Zoom meet. Among the grizzly going ons ( Mrs Smith had an uninvited visitor) .
If you haven’t already, check out what our Key Stage One children have been up to in their music lessons with Ms Mia.
I was delighted to reveal this week’s house points which were bumper this week and there was only one point between second and third place. Look out for the latest whole school house challenge on Dojo as well as the weekly TLA challenges which are posted on your year group page.
The children continue to work hard and fully engage with their remote learning which is great to see. Your continued support as parents is much appreciated as we prepare to enter another week of remote learning. Feedback from the survey that Mr Gross sent out to you a few weeks ago has been very useful in helping us continually review and where possible improve the remote learning experience. As a primary team we were very happy to read your positive comments and equally your suggestions for improvement. We received many requests for live specialist lessons and as a result these will begin on Monday 2nd November. Links to live lessons will be published on your class timetable and we hope that these prove to work well. We are keen to keep the year group specialist days as class timetables are now established and working well but as with everything we will continue to review our arrangements and I am always keen to receive your feedback.
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend.
Mrs Joanne Smith
Head of Primary
