HOUSE MASCOTS & PRIMARY COMPETITION

During the course of this short half term, everyone in our school has been involved in choosing a new mascot to represent each of our houses. We selected 6, well known and much loved Bornean animals that the children voted between to become the new House Mascot. The animal mascot choices included pangolins, turtles, sunbears, orangutans, elephants and sharks.

The votes are in, they have all been counted and checked and I am excited to be able to reveal which animals will become our House mascots!

It is with great pleasure that I introduce you to the…

And…Sulug Sharks!

We are excited to develop the school Houses with their new animal mascot representing them!

The first stage of this follows on from the exciting and fascinating conservation talks that Primary received over the last few weeks. We are now able to reveal an exciting Primary House competition that will develop their mascot identity.

Primary children are encouraged to create a drawing of their new animal mascot. They also need to research and write an interesting fact about their mascot. Winning drawings and facts will be incorporated onto a reusable bag that will be specially printed in collaboration with Helle Enderby’s WildBunch Bags initiative. Bags will be available for purchase as a House bag and will be 100% non-profit, with the school donating all money made from the sale of these bags to conservation projects based in Sabah.
