Important information – The Eco School Committee would like to encourage you to please bring your own container and mug (if adults want hot tea/coffee) to our Celebration Event on Friday 28th June.
As a Green School we will not be serving any single-use packaging.
Thank you for your support.
What have the Secondary Eco Warriors been up to recently?

Garden – you may have seen next to our school cafe, we have created a Herb Garden. We have dill, curry leaf, rosemary and basil among other things and we encourage any parents to bring their own containers and help themselves to these herbs. Colour Meals have already been using these in our tasty school lunches and we look forward to growing even more next year! Please reach out to mmcpherson@kis.edu.my if you are green-fingered and would like to be involved in a Gardening ECA.
Paper recycling – One of the easiest things we can do at school to be more sustainable is reduce our paper waste. Every classroom uses paper every day and although much of our work is now done digitally, there is still the need for paper resources at times. This week our Eco Warriors went round to collect paper recycling from each classroom, and emailed teachers a reminder about how these bins should be used.
Borneo Ambassador Programme – This month, the three students on the BAP have been designing a wildlife bookshelf that is now proudly in place at Woo! cafe on Lorong Dewan. Next time you’re nearby, pop in and look at the selection of books and magazines courtesy of One Stop Borneo.
