Hello from the PTASC team! It’s been great being back and seeing faces new and familiar.

To welcome new families into our KIS community, there is a Coffee Morning happening on 6th September at the Multipurpose Room (MPR) from 8.30 – 9.30am. If you are a new parent to the school, please join us. We would love to meet you.

Speaking of the KIS community, the PTASC would also like to thank parents who have volunteered to chat with new family members. Your time and kindness will surely help ease new families into their transition into a new place and school. You may have seen new popsicles in our ice-cream freezer last week. Our trial run was met with great response and feedback, so we are glad to announce that Poinka Popsicles is here to stay! A little bit about Poinka: They are a local Sabahan company selling freshly made popsicles using freshly sourced fruits and local dairy. Poinka is named after the Dusun word “Poingka” which means “great”. We are delighted to support a local small business offering a healthier option for our favourite Friday treat.

Lastly, we are looking for volunteers to help us sell ice-cream every Friday. If you would like to be behind the counter, ringing the bell, and hand out ice cream to gleeful kids, please contact your class ambassador or email us at pta@kis.edu.my
