Dear KIS Community,
Five years have gone by in the blink of an eye, the saying goes, times flies when you are having fun. I have thoroughly enjoyed serving KIS as your Principal, it’s not always been fun, but it has always been rewarding and a privilege. The KIS community is so special, and we have been made to feel a part of it from the moment we landed all those years ago. There are too many people to mention and thank as individuals, but you have all been a part of our incredible Borneo journey, thank you so very much, you will not be forgotten. I have worked with incredible staff, had the privilege of working with fantastic students and the opportunity to support our wonderful parents, many of whom have become dear friends. As we move on to the next chapter, KIS too is preparing for its next. What will the next fifty years bring? The excitement of what can be and what will be are always my favourite thoughts. Not just for our school, but for ourselves and for our children. I leave you, I hope, with a better school, ready and poised to become better yet.
With fondness, great memories, so many good wishes, and of course, respect,
Ian Gross
Principal
