From the Head of Primary 01.07.2023
As we come to the end of another successful year, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support which has enabled us to provide the very best for your children. The year has been filled with incredible memories, achievements, events and experiences that have enriched the lives of our students and enhanced their academic and personal development.
I feel very privileged and proud to have had the opportunity to lead the primary school for the past two years and my job has been made that much easier by working with such a fantastic team of people. I would like to thank the primary team for their unwavering support and dedication to the students. Their hard work and commitment have made it possible for our students to achieve their goals and reach their full potential. They have been instrumental in shaping the children’s characters, instilling good values, and helping them to become global citizens. A special thank you to Mrs Garrick and Mr Beresford for their support, words of wisdom and encouragement.
It has been a pleasure to celebrate all your children’s achievements every week, presenting Stars of the Week as well as House Point certificates during our celebration assemblies. We have celebrated and recognised our writers, mathematicians, scientists, eco-warriors and artists to name but a few. I would also like to express my gratitude to them for their enthusiasm, creativity, and positive attitude, which have made this year such a memorable one. I wish to congratulate them for their hard work, determination, and perseverance and I am confident that they will continue to achieve great things in the years ahead. A special thank you to all the students who took on Leadership roles this year (House Captains, Prefects, Student Counsellors, Eco-Warriors and Library Cadets) and performed them so passionately. This shows that our children are more than their academic success, they are polite, kind, respectful and responsible which highlights how much they gain from your support at home and ours in school. Our shared set of values is what makes this school successful and a very special place to be.
I wish every member of the wonderful KIS community, whether they are staying or moving on, a bright and successful future, and lots of happiness in life. I encourage all students to continue to pursue their dreams, embrace challenges, and make a positive impact in their communities.
Good luck to you all, I will miss KIS and Sabah very much but both will always hold a special place in my heart.
Have a wonderful, safe and happy holiday and Mr Beresford will see you all on the 14th August.
Take care.
Ms Karen Hitchen
