Eco News…

Well done to everyone for dressing in Green this week, what a great way to celebrate our Green Flag Award. Thank you.

This week, we held an Eco Schools Committee Meeting on Wednesday morning. We hold four of these a year where the elected committee come together to review actions and celebrate achievements – the big one this week being our recent Green Flag Award! Committee Meeting minutes can be found on the Eco Warriors board near the ice-cream selling station on the playground. Do take a look to see what was discussed!

In other news…

We are hosting a Costume Swapshop:

Old fancy dress costumes or even school uniforms that you no longer have a use for can be sent to the school to be swapped or donated to charity. These costumes/uniforms could be passed down to the next year group instead of buying a new set as to not be wasteful. This might be useful for families with children in primary who will need costumes for events such as Egypt Day, Greek Day and Roman Day throughout the school year. This is all part of Eco Warriors goal of adopting a zero waste mindset.

If you would like to donate anything, you can drop iems off to Eco Warriors who will be stationed near the school Christmas tree between 3-3:30pm on Friday 9th December OR bring it to the KISMAS fair yourself on Saturday 10th December where we will have a stall. Following this we plan to create an ongoing second-hand swapshop via Telegram – look out for info at the fair!
