From the PTASC 5.11.2022
Unbelievable, amazing, colourful, delicious, spectacular, the best day ever are just some the phrases that have been mentioned by parents, staff and children about International Day 2022. The day started out frightfully wet and our spirits were dampened by the thought of the parade not happening. But with the clouds parting and the sun appearing our spirits were lifted and the buzz of excitement began around the school grounds. Children and adults alike came dressed in their National colours/dress and made for a kaleidoscope of colours on a grey and dreary morning. Whilst the children and staff proudly participated in the parade of nations the parents were busy bees in the hall preparing their stalls with the delicious delicacies from home. They also managed to entertain themselves with a dance I have been told…..
Our littlest were first to taste the world with specially prepared platters from different countries and numerous children hugged and said thank-you to us for the delicious food. Then the onslaught in Hall really began with first the primary students, then secondary students and staff and finally the parents all coming in to taste the world. When not eating everyone was outside enjoying the games that the primary and secondary student council had arranged. It was a hectic yet wonderful day to end the first half term.
The PTASC would like to thank all the sponsors for their donations to our lucky draw, tickets, drinks, food and event. We had an overwhelming response from the community and beyond and really appreciate it all. To all of those who won a lucky draw or went home with a hamper we hope you enjoy and take a minute to say thanks to the parents who donated the goods and services for you all to enjoy.
Last but not least I would like to recognise my team in the PTASC for all their hard work before, during and after the event. And to the parents a heartfelt thank you to all as without you all this day would have never have been possible. Terima Kasih, ขอบใจ, धन्यवाद, 감사합니다,
