SECONDARY HOUSE NEWS
This week saw the House ECA programme begin during lunchtimes and after school. It has been great to see the House Team take on the responsibility to lead the ECAs and also great to see many secondary students representing their Houses across different activities. Please see the short video created by our media team to see the ECAs that are offered on a weekly basis.
PRIMARY HOUSE NEWS

HOUSEPOINT TOTAL
Primary students have continued to work hard and rack up those impressive housepoint totals this week as they collectively earned over 800 housepoints! Congratulations to everyone who has earned housepoints this week!
Our Weekly Class Housepoint Winners are Year 3 who earned an average of 6 housepoints per pupil. Well done Year 3! We are very proud of you all!
It was another close race between all three Houses this week and the housepoints awarded to each team was:
In 3rd place with 272 housepoints is Sapi!
In 2nd place with 274 housepoints is Sulug!
In 1st place with 275 housepoints is Gaya!
Our congratulations go to Gaya Pangolins for their third win of this school year and the second win in a row! They continue to dominate at the start of this year and could be a telling sign for what’s to come? Only time will tell and I can’t wait to find out who we will be celebrating as Housepoint Champions next week!
GO GAYA PANGOLINS! GO SAPI SUNBEARS! GO SULUG SHARKS!!
Following several weeks of speeches, voting and nervously waiting, it was with great pride that we were able to announce all Year 2 and Year 6 House Captains for this academic year!!
Each captain was presented with their badge during the assembly this week and I had the first meeting with the Y6 House Captains earlier in the week, where they helped prepare the Weekly Housepoint totals and learned a little more about what their weekly leadership role will be. They were excited and enthusiastic for the coming work and I cannot wait to get started on some fun House challenges and leadership opportunities with all Captains in Year 2 and Year 6!
Please join me in congratulating all our new 2022-2023 House Captains for this academic year! They are:
YEAR 2
GAYA: Ally and Kyra
SAPI: Maya and Rochelle
SULUG: Junu and Eden
YEAR 6
GAYA: Mabel and Justin
SAPI: Ashlyn and Devon
SULUG: Serene and Rafael
Well done to everyone who put themselves forward for this Primary position and another final congratulations to our successful House Captains!
DOJO CHALLENGE THIS WEEK!
As part of our Malaysian Pride challenge I saw some wonderfully creative recreations of the Malaysian, made in Lego, chalk, building blocks and many more. There were also beautiful drawings of Malaysian flowers, landmarks and many animals we find in this beautiful country of ours.
Well done to the Sapi Sunbears who were the winning House for the Dojo Challenges set last week. Congratulations to everyone who took part!

Now it’s time to find out what challenges you can involve yourself in this week.
The Monthly Maths Challenge continues with our first challenge of this school year. Make sure you check out the Drive folder to find a September Maths Challenge suitable for your year group. There are challenges for F1&F2, Y1&Y2, Y3&Y4 and Y5&Y6. Good luck everyone and get those maths brains crunching!
