From the Head of Primary 18.12.2021

The excitement has been building all week for the end of term!

As always, the primary students have been super busy learning so many fabulous and wonderful things.

The Early Years students have been busy singing their hearts out in their Christmas Singalong as well as making Marshmallow Reindeers. Well done to them for their performance – it was amazing!

Year 1 have been very busy with Christmas crafts, addition and subtraction and writing letters and cards.

Year 2 designed a sleigh for Santa and made salt dough ornaments.

Year 3 wrote amazing Christmas stories which they put into a Pop up Book and they prepared a performance of a Christmas song. Check that out on Class Dojo.

While the Year 4 students have been busy being bakers.

Year 5 learnt how to reflect shapes in a Christmas themed way!

Year 6 have been writing their own versions of the Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens.

The week ended with a huge celebration assembly. We celebrated our usual Birthdays, Stars of the Week, Housepoint totals and Bronze and SIlver Awards. In this special assembly, we also celebrated PE awards and we found out who was the House Champion for receiving the most house points this term!

A huge well done to Sulug Sharks!

Of course the final day wouldn’t be complete without a visit from Santa, delivering cookies to all our primary students. A huge thank you to the PTA for organising this and of course to Santa for taking time out of his busy schedule to join us.

I wish you all a safe and happy holiday and I look forward to seeing all the students, well rested and  online on the 10th January.

A Merry Christmas to all of you who celebrate

and a Happy New Year to you all!
