WEEKLY HOUSEPOINT TOTALS

As we start a new term, our Weekly Housepoint battle gets off to an exciting start! All 3 Houses have been working hard to earn vital housepoints and it was only the smallest of margins that separated Gaya, Sapi and Sulug from the winning position!

This week, the housepoints we awarded to each team was:

In 3rd place, with 275 housepoints is Sapi!

In 2nd place with 278 housepoints is Sulug!

In 1st place with 279 housepoints is Gaya!

Congratulations to Gaya Pangolins for the first win of this new term! How close will the race for first place be next week??

GO GAYA PANGOLINS! GO SAPI SUNBEARS! GO SULUG SHARKS!!

DOJO CHALLENGES

Congratulations to all students who chose to take on the myriad of Christmas and Holiday Challenges set for them during the festive break. All their hard work and efforts resulted in an extremely close Dojo challenge competition but Gaya Pangolins ended up victorious with 1 point more than the Sharks and Sun Bears!

As we start the new year, it seems only fitting that we kick it off with a new Monthly Maths Challenge! If you’d like to attempt the January challenge, there is a task for Year 1&2, Year 3&4 and Year 5&6 to attempt. Good luck maths challengers! All entries for the Monthly Maths Challenge are due by Friday 29th January 2021.

The Fun Weekly Dojo Challenge this week, is a drawing challenge. As we celebrate the start of a new year, can you draw something that shows a celebration? In our Dojo Challenge folder, there are some drawing tutorial videos saved which might give you some ideas. However, you can draw anything that shows CELEBRATIONS! I look forward to seeing the artistic work of our Primary students!

Our wonderful Book @ Bedtime…or Anytime returns again this week as Ms Smailes reads the beautiful tale of The Storm Whale. Don’t forget to check out past posts on the School Story page to see any stories you might want to enjoy sharing again and again!

If you missed the challenges when they were shared on Dojo on Friday, please check out School Story on Dojo to find the link to the Weekly Dojo Challenge folder. You can also use this link https://cutt.ly/LfcFEyn to access the folder and find the details for all the challenges shared this week. If you have any questions, please do get in touch via email; sbarlass@kis.edu.my or through Class Dojo messages.

We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible participating with these weekly challenges, but please do remember that all challenges are optional. All entries for all challenges will be awarded with housepoints towards their House Team total, because “Team work makes the dream work!”

Happy challenging KIS!
