KIS Has Talent on 02.07.19

Wednesday morning saw the second running of the inaugural KIS has Talent show. It showcased a large selection of the amazing talent at the school, from F2 all they way to Year 10. We were amazed by feats of magic, thrilled by dramatic dances and songs, entertained with comedy, and awed by masterful instrumentals. Each and every performer took their moment and shone. The confidence they showed, when facing such a large group of their peers, was truly impressive and showed an amazing strength of character.
We were also lucky to have a top class judging panel, including Mr Ian Gross, Mr Andy Withers (our returning judge), and Mr Gavin Nicholas, a  saxophone lecturer at the Sabah Institute of the Arts (SIA) . We were also lucky enough to be able to hear Gavin play the saxophone, a truly mesmerising experience. Many thanks to all the judges for their time and effort.
At the end, there could be only 1 winner from primary and 1 from secondary. Many congratulations are due to Leroy and Aldrich, the Magic Brothers, and to Ryan who tinkled the ivories. I am sure that all who were present would agree that they were worthy winners.
Also congratulations to the Highly Commended students from primary, Harry, Siqi, Julia, and the Dreamers; Natalia, Tiggi, Bella, Betsi and Selene. And from secondary, Aisha and Zen.
I would also like to mention all those who had the courage to perform, as this alone is a more that worthy achievement. Ava, Christopher, Qawiemah, Ai Yung, Yin Ling, Roshween, Estee, Cherise, Cheryn, Yi Chen, Sunny, Maddie, Travis, Salman, Oliver, Tania, Pik Ern, Ashlyn, Kayla, Adrianna, Enzo, Ting Xiang, Dania, Sofia, Micky, Juah, Debbie, Nicole, Boey, Eshaana, Ashley, Janessa, Amy, Lizzie, Haylie, Ana, and to Celine, last year’s winner who played beautifully as everyone entered the hall.
We look forward to seeing what amazing talents emerge next year…
