Originally from London, UK, Ian earned his first degree in Applied Biology before starting his teaching career also in London. With a passion for travel and having new experiences, Ian moved to Prague where he helped to set up the British International School.
As his career progressed, Argentina was the next destination, and this was followed by moves to Thailand, Egypt and Bahrain. Over the past twenty or so years, Ian has had a diverse set of roles within International Schools and has been in school leadership for over ten years.
As a believer of life-long learning Ian has gained an MA in Education from Bath and is now working towards a Doctorate in Education, also from Bath.
In between school and studies, Ian is a family man at heart and loves spending time with his wife and two daughters who are also at KIS. As a PADI divemaster, and when he gets the chance, Ian likes to spend time with his head under the water watching the fish swim by.
