Primary Curriculum Meetings

Primary Curriculum Meetings

Our Primary Curriculum Meetings concluded yesterday with Mrs Russell and Mrs Henry meeting with the parents of our youngest students – Foundation 1. Our termly Primary Curriculum Meetings are an opportunity for parents to meet the teaching staff from their child’s year group and to hear what learning and excitement lies ahead for the coming term. Staff share information on the topics that will be studied, the teaching tools that will be used to assist the learning, what trips will be arranged that support the topic and how parents can best support their child at home. The meetings also provide an opportunity for parents to nominate a Class Ambassador. Class Ambassadors are responsible for liaising between the class teacher and the class parents and often support the class teaching in organising class events throughout the year. In addition, Class Ambassadors will welcome new families to the class and the wider school community.
