\/>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\n<p><strong>How many years have you been teaching?<\/strong><br \/>\nI have been teaching for 10 years.<\/p>\n<p><strong>When did you join KIS?<\/strong><br \/>\nI joined KIS in August 2016.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How would you describe the learning environment at KIS?<\/strong><br \/>\nChildren\u00a0need to feel safe and secure when they walk into a classroom. I try and make my classroom visually stimulating and also a place that the children are comfortable in. This then provides a strong base on which the children can learn.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What do you enjoy most about teaching in Key Stage 1?<\/strong><br \/>\nThe children at KIS are a delight to teach and are always enthusiastic, polite, engaged and hardworking. We learn about some really fun topics and I can\u2019t wait for our Ancient Egypt topic in Term 2.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What activity, event or experience at KIS has made a lasting impression on you?<\/strong><br \/>\nLast academic year I was lucky enough to take 12 KIS children to the Primary FOBISIA Games in Phuket, Thailand. I had an incredible time and the children were all superstars. We won lots of events and I will never forget this amazing trip.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What is your favourite classroom resource and why?<\/strong><br \/>\nI have many classroom resources that I like to use but I think the dictionary and thesaurus are very important to expand vocabulary and improve writing.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Last week at KIS we celebrated International Day, if you could visit any country in the world where would you go and why?<\/strong><br \/>\nThis is a very hard question! I have been very lucky to have travelled a lot and seen many countries and continents. I like open space and walking, so high on my list is Mongolia.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Have you climbed Mount Kinabalu yet?<\/strong><br \/>\nYes, I climbed Mount Kinabalu last December with some of the members of staff here at KIS. It was a wonderful experience and I loved every minute of it. I would really like to do it again in the near future.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Where is your favourite place in Sabah?<\/strong><br \/>\nI am not sure yet!
