What an incredible week it has been here in Primary! We’ve had a whirlwind of excitement, learning, and memorable experiences that we can’t wait to share with you.<\/span><\/p>\n

On Wednesday, our Year 5 students embarked on a fascinating journey to the Tao Art Studio. With eager hands and creative minds, they delved into the world of terracotta warriors, crafting their own masterpieces inspired by ancient history. It was a day filled with imagination and discovery.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]\"\"<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u2018On Wednesday 28th February, after learning about the famous terracotta warriors protecting Qin Shi Huang, Year 5 ventured to the Tao art gallery to try and recreate these amazing warriors. And they did not disappoint. With expert instruction and the occasional helping hand, a small army of small terracotta warriors slowly emerged. Their features were all different, some carried weapons, whilst others approached the afterlife empty handed. One thing they all shared was the love that went into making them. The commitment the children showed to making their best warrior was impressive, and they should be extremely proud of their creations. In light of recent discoveries, the children also painted their warriors to make them more true to how the warriors would have looked like when they were made, rather than when they were found. Overall, it was an amazing day, thoroughly enjoyed by all; students and staff.\u2019<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Equipped with curiosity and a thirst for knowledge, they explored the wonders of nature and honed their field skills amidst the beauty of the valley. We eagerly await their return and look forward to sharing all about their adventures next week.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to these exciting outings, we were delighted to host parents for a coffee morning focused on supporting children through difficult situations. It was a wonderful opportunity to come together as a community and share insights and strategies for nurturing our children’s emotional well-being.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our commitment to online safety was underscored during our celebration assembly this week, where we emphasised the importance of responsible internet usage. Congratulations to all our students who continue to demonstrate exemplary behaviour online and contribute to creating a safe digital environment for all.<\/span><\/p>\n

Of course, we also took time to celebrate the achievements of our students through our traditional awards. Stars of the week, trashless class champions, and house point award winners were all recognized for their outstanding efforts and contributions to our school community.<\/span><\/p>\n

As a reminder, Sports Day for Year 1-6 will be taking place on Tuesday at the BSA. Please refer to the letter sent out earlier this week from Ms Watt for more details. We can’t wait to see our students showcase their athleticism and team spirit on the field!<\/span><\/p>\n
