[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Happy New Year and a very warm welcome back to our entire KIS community! A new year and school term brings with it more exciting opportunities to get involved in a range of sporting activities both in and out of school.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

What is happening this term in PE and Sport?<\/i><\/b><\/h3>\n
    \n
  • January 19th-29th – 19th Big Sky Tyres Cup U14 Basketball Championships<\/strong><\/li>\n
  • January – Season A Liga SupaRimau Starts<\/strong><\/li>\n
  • Sunday February 4th – KIS Sports Showcase (TBC)<\/strong><\/li>\n
  • Monday 19th-23rd February – U13 FOBISIA Games<\/strong><\/li>\n
  • Tuesday 27th February – Primary Sports Day to be held at BSA (Years 1-6)<\/strong><\/li>\n
  • <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    And that doesn\u2019t even include the amazing learning and fun that is going to be taking place in lessons over the next couple of months!<\/span><\/p>\n

     <\/p>\n

    Liga SupaRimau Season A – Kicks of next week!<\/strong><\/h3>\n

     <\/p>\n

    For those who registered for our next season of Liga SupaRimau (Football League) before Christmas, you should have received an email with updates on training and payments during the week. If you did not receive the letter but think you should have then please email.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

     <\/p>\n

    Also, if any new families who have joined us this year would like to know more about Liga SupaRimau and how your child can join then please reach out. We still have places available in our Under 12 and Under 14 teams for the upcoming season.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

     <\/p>\n

    Training will start this coming Thursday 18th at Jesselton Point.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Under 8\u2019s\/10\u2019s\/12\u2019s at 4:00pm<\/span><\/p>\n

    Under 14\u2019s at 5:00pm<\/span><\/p>\n

     <\/p>\n

    Matches will potentially begin on the weekend of Saturday 27th January.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

     <\/p>\n

    I ask that parents please make sure that payments are made by Friday 26th January.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    Under 8\u2019s = RM250<\/span><\/p>\n

    Under 10\u2019s = RM230<\/span><\/p>\n

    Under 12\u2019s = RM260<\/span><\/p>\n

    Under 14\u2019s = RM325<\/span><\/p>\n

    Payments can be made either to the front office or by bank transfer. If paying by bank transfer, please use the following as your payment reference so we can more easily track and record your payment. <\/span>\u201cLiga Season A*child\u2019s name*\u201d<\/b>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    FOBISIA News<\/strong><\/p>\n

    U13\u2019s FOBISIA (19th-23rd February) – Updates<\/strong><\/h3>\n
      \n
    • Parents were notified of an amendment to the final trip cost. Can I please ask that this additional <\/span>RM180<\/b> is paid by <\/span>Friday 26th January<\/b>.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
    • The final swimming session that was scheduled for the 23rd January has been cancelled in order to give the students more time to focus on athletics as so many sessions last term were affected by bad weather.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Please keep the morning of Sunday 4th February free as I am in the process of confirming arrangements for some basketball practice matches to support the teams preparations ahead of the competition.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Primary FOBISIA (29th April-3rd May) – Dates for your diary<\/strong><\/h3>\n
        \n
      • A reminder that the 2nd payment which will be used to purchase flights is due on Friday 26th January. Please help ensure that we can proceed quickly with this next stage of the trip by completing this payment on time.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
      • All training sessions will be onsite next week.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
