[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text][\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Next week in a lead up to Secondary Sports Day, we will be running a \u201cSilly Sports Day\u201d coordinated by Mr Denyer. Students in both Primary and Secondary will be able to compete for their house in 3 fun novelty events to test their strength, speed and accuracy. The events are: a welly toss, shoe flick and a water race where children will use sponges to see how much water they can transport from one bucket to another.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

For Secondary students the events will take place on Thursday during lunch, while Primary will conduct their silly sports days during their normal PE lessons. Should be a lot of fun and silliness for all!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

As mentioned last week, Secondary Sports Day will take place on Tuesday 5th December and this will involve ALL Secondary students, no classes will take place that day. Students are to be dropped at Likas Stadium by 7:40 with the first events starting at 8:00am. Students should then be collected promptly at the end of the event at 1:00pm.<\/span><\/p>\n

I am looking forward to seeing lots of house spirit on full display with collaboration, support and cheering at the forefront!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Liga SupaRimau Season C – Weekend wrapup<\/strong><\/h3>\n

 <\/p>\n

Last Saturday saw all teams complete their matches in our last season of Liga SupaRimau for Season C and I have been told by all coaches that the players were outstanding in their efforts in some very challenging circumstances. The strength of character and resilience of our students were once again instrumental in achieving some truly impressive results.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Under 8\u2019s Match Report<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\u201c<\/span><\/i>the U8s regrouped for their final match on 18th November with a full team and played their best game thus far.\u00a0 The U8s Vipers vs TABS SAFA A with their best team played on a new wider pitch meant that the kids could exhibit their passing and dribbling skills and so they did.\u00a0 It was by far the most entertaining match this season with a spirited effort and an improved understanding of how the game is played. There were several clear chances on goal allowing parents to avail themselves to excited screams and Eden entertained them more with a penalty save. It was all good fun on the day. The U8s should be proud of themselves being part of this season playing against experienced and talented opponents but always coming back with determination to carry on and never giving up. Well done U8s Vipers!\u201d – Coach Jimmy<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Under 12\u2019s Match Report<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\u201cThe very committed and courageous U12\u2019s played their last games of the season back to back on Saturday under shining sun and very hot conditions. Despite this, they fought very hard, losing 4-0 against Super Kids and 3-0 against KJS. These two games showed a more organised team that created many chances including several one-on-ones with the keeper. In just a few months the team has improved dramatically and we are far away from the heavy defeats we faced earlier in the year. Congratulations on a fantastic season!\u201d – Coach Ben\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Season A 2024 information will be going out to parents on Monday so please keep an eye on your emails for that and ensure that you register your child by Wednesday 6th December. No payment will be accepted until Jan when we have final confirmations from the league organisers regarding schedules.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Again, I would like to highlight and give recognition to the incredible efforts of our coaching staff who have given so much time and effort into ensuring that the players not only develop their skills and understanding of the game, but more importantly enjoy themselves and create positive and lasting memories. Without their tireless commitment, our involvement in Liga SupaRimau would not be possible.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Next Thursday 30th November will be the FINAL Liga training session for the year. On this day, please bring your child\u2019s Liga SupaRimau shirt cleaned ready for collection. A new shirt will be issued for players continuing next year.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Finally, we know that children\u2019s feet grow at an alarming rate and sometimes the cost of buying and replacing new boots each season\/year is a lot for parents. So, if you have a pair of boots that are no longer needed by your child, but could be passed down to someone else to make use of, then please bring them along to our final training session on Thursday 30th November for the great <\/span>KIS Shoe Swap. <\/b>Remember we are a Green Flag School so can we help to <\/span>REDUCE <\/b>our impact and <\/span>REUSE! <\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Training will resume for those taking part in Season A 2024 when we return in January after the holidays.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    Students will travel to Penampang Pool by bus with a staff member. Students will then need to be collected by a parent from the pool at the end of the session at 4:15pm.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    Students should bring with them the following items: swimming costumes, googles, swim hat (if wanted), a towel and a pair of slippers to wear poolside.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
