[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Our U15\u2019s FOBISIA Vipers were welcomed back to school with thunderous applause in the hall on Monday as the secondary school created a \u2018guard of honour\u2019 for them to walk through and they were treated to a slide show of some of their highlights as well as testimonies from Mrs Renshaw and Mr Gipson congratulating them on their amazing achievements. Certainly, one more magical moment to remember for this team to go alongside everything else from the week before. On behalf of the team, thank you to all the KIS community for your kind words and congratulations passed on to the students, it is greatly appreciated!<\/span><\/p>\n

U15 FOBISIA Games Part 2 – Building a basketball legacy<\/strong><\/h3>\n

If you took a poll of the athletes as to which of the four sports they were most looking forward to at FOBISIA, 99% probably would have said – Basketball! With all the training and subsequent progress the teams had made under the guidance of Coach Andrew the teams certainly had good reason to go into the day feeling confident of some good results. But I don\u2019t think anyone would have quite predicted the extent to which the KIS Vipers would dominate both the boys and girls competitions.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/span><\/p>\n

The boys began their competition against Seoul Foreign School (SFS), who did challenge the boys at times with some fast attacking play but still came away with a convincing and confidence building 22-13 win. Likewise, the girls started in a killer fashion, dominating SFS all over the court. FOBISIA has a \u2018mercy rule\u2019 system whereby if the score ever reaches a difference of 20 points then scoring stops but the game continues. This rule came into play for the girls with scoring stopped at 26-6 and the girls getting their competition away to a winning start.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
