The primary students have made a real effort to celebrate Earth Week by joining in the different daily activities. On Tuesday and Wednesday, I was lucky enough to work with Y2 who all made pledges to look after the earth in a variety of ways. Some promised to turn off the taps while brushing their teeth, some promised to recycle more and some even promised to stop using plastic altogether! They embody our mission statement. They are KIS community-minded but also think of others outside of the walls of the school. They are hands-on and can take the initiative and think for themselves. They treat others kindly, equally and respectfully and are not afraid to identify and challenge unfairness when they see it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you would like to nominate a student to be considered for this award, please email me: <\/span><a href=\"mailto:khitchen@kis.edu.my\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">khitchen@kis.edu.my<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (Students and staff will receive a GForm next week.)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You must include the student\u2019s name, year group and detailed information as to why you think they should receive this award. The session will include an open discussion about various issues which affect students across Primary and Secondary.
