 <\/p>\n

Welcome back to our third and final term of the school year. I trust you all had a restful break and were able to spend quality time with family members. This is the time of year when our senior students from Years 11, 12 and 13 start their examination leave and preparation for their real IGCSE, AS and A level exams; which for some have already started. On behalf of all of us at KIS I wish all of our exam students the very best for all of their exams. For our Year 13 students, this of course is the culmination of all their hard work through their school journey. Next stop, university, and we will of course wish them well when they graduate later this year.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Today, in case you were not aware, we have a beach clean-up taking place at Likas beach from 9am to early afternoon. Pop along and help our eco-warriors in their endeavours to improve our environment. If you prefer being indoors, or wish to cool down after the beach, KIS is exhibiting at the SICC this weekend as part of the Property Hunter Expo. Come along and say hello, we will be there Saturday and Sunday.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

As the SOPs around us are changing we will also be reviewing our own SOPs for school to ensure we maintain a safe environment for all of our community so we can enrich the education of our students inside and outside the classroom.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Returning to the subject of university, we are delighted to be able to announce Celeste Chung, Y13, has been accepted to study at Stanford University in the States. This is wonderful news and we are so proud of her achievement. This Ivy League university typically has over 50,000 applications each year and only accepts a fraction of this number. Well done Celeste.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Finally, if you have been into school this week you may have noticed we have started to upgrade our pathways, this is a part of our strategic plan, Vision 25, though we do need to revisit and reschedule some aspects of this as we move out of the pandemic. The basketball court is looking very patchy and this is scheduled for a re-surface over the summer holidays. Thank you for the positive comments so far.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I wish you all a lovely weekend and hope to see you at the beach and \/ or the Property Hunter Expo at SICC.<\/p>\n
