[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]It is absolutely amazing to have our students from Primary and KS3 back in school and enjoying face-to-face PE lessons this week. It\u2019s been wonderful to see sweaty, but smiling faces in lessons\u00a0 Whilst I admit I will miss the comfort of teaching from inside with the aircon, I will take the heat, humidity and subsequent \u2018PE v-neck tan lines\u2019 from being outside and active with our students all together again over online learning every day of the week!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

It was great to see Primary students well prepared for lessons with their hats and water bottles at the ready. A reminder to please check that your child’s name is written on or inside their hat to prevent any unfortunate swaps or loses and ensure that it can always be returned to them should it go missing temporarily.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I would like to remind Secondary students about the need to be prepared with the correct uniform for PE lessons, which includes a hat for ALL lessons as well as the KIS PE shorts and not any other alternative sports shorts. These items can be purchased online or from the uniform shop.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Get up and MOVE – Mount Kinabalu Challenge<\/b><\/p>\n

Well, as predicted last week, it would seem that \u2018Team Parents\u2019 have taken full advantage of the return to physical school and have made a big surge over the past week and have more than doubled their distance from last week! They seem pretty committed to the task, but the students are not far behind now after also having a very productive week!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In the student House competition, Gaya holds on to a pretty impressive lead. To all the Sapi Sunbears and Sulug Sharks out there, get your sports shoes on, pull on your swimming goggles or grab a ball to throw or kick around and see if you can catch up to those Gaya Pangolins! Not to mention every minute you move is not just good for your House Team but also has the double bonus of helping \u2018Team Students\u2019 who are so close to catching their parents!\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\nCOMBINED TEAM PLACINGS<\/b><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

As I said, it is very close at the top of the table. The Parents may have finally taken the lead but they shouldn\u2019t get too comfortable as the Students are hot on their heels, and you should never underestimate the tenacity of the KIS Teachers! (Do I get a merit for using the word of the week Ms. Colley?)\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
