I was impressed with the variety and diversity of roles and leaders and with what they have planned for the year ahead. I am so proud of all our student leaders for the energy and vision they are bringing to their roles. We have made a deliberate push for greater student voice and more opportunities for the students to lead, be active and take responsibility in their school. Another example of this is the development of the school newspaper, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/kistoday.kis.edu.my\/\">KIS Today<\/a><\/strong>, which has evolved into an online blog.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>As more of our students become vaccinated, we are seeing more of them return to school. The MoE has requested details of vaccination for all students aged 12 and above, please make sure you complete the Google Form sent through WhatsApp so we can update records. The Ministry also made a surprise visit to us and were very pleased as we toured around the school and explained our SOPs. They saw our classes in action and were more than satisfied with the safety measures in place and the behaviour of our students at break time too. We are now waiting for news from the MoE for when more of our students will be able to return.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Yesterday the holidays started for our students, but not our staff, they were all able to be in school for the first of our staff development days this year. The theme of the day was \u2018togetherness\u2019 and was a great opportunity to learn from each other as well as benefit from being around each other and taking part in a variety of activities (SOP compliant of course). The wellbeing of our staff is very important to us and I would just like to take a moment to recognise and thank them all for the tremendous job they have been doing over this past half term.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>With the half term holiday upon us and with many people travelling around with children, please do take care and follow the SOPs where you are.
