[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]As we approach the half term break, I have been reflecting on what has happened since August. We have much to celebrate and be proud of. The KIS community, as always, has pulled together and continued to be positive throughout this time. Each week, I am thankful that, even though we are online, we are still able to all come together in our Zoom assemblies to celebrate and share in the successes of the week.<\/p>\n

I would like to thank parents and guardians for their continued support; staff for their dedication towards providing our students with the very best education during this continued period of online learning and, of course, the students for all the hard work they put into their learning.<\/p>\n

In our recent assemblies we have been talking about change and how to cope with change. We have certainly been through a lot of changes these last 2 years! We discussed how many of the following activities can help us to cope when things are a little difficult:<\/p>\n

As well, we discussed how important it is to talk to someone, whether that be a parent, a teacher, a friend or even our school counsellor Mrs Siti who can be contacted via email at: snaim@kis.edu.my<\/a><\/u><\/p>\n

Last week, we saw a whole range of healthy and delicious snacks made for our fun Dojo challenge:<\/p>\n

Check out the whole school page of Class Dojo to find out what they came up with. These challenges are another super way to keep our minds healthy and take a little time out from our studies. Thank you Mrs Fletcher for the work that goes into organising these.<\/p>\n

A huge congratulations to our primary children in Year 5 and 6 who contributed to the newest edition of KIS Today, https:\/\/kistoday.kis.edu.my\/<\/a><\/u> which is now in the form of a blog. They did not hesitate to rise to the challenge of collaborating with secondary and contributing their articles. Well done Kayla, Ashlyn, Fion, Janesse and Ada; you did a great job!<\/p>\n
