We plan for attendance in the building, and adapt as and when we need to, should circumstances out of our control transpire [as they have done this week].\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Next week we planned for Wellbeing Week, and although that will now be happening as hoped, it will take place at some point in the future, and all the work that has gone into the various events thus far will be held over. Our Head Prefects have again stepped up to the mark, and together with their peers, other students, and staff have put together a great range of activities. Book Week, a long standing tradition at KIS, will take place this term [during the week beginning the 3<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">rd<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> May] and Mrs Colbeck is heavily into sorting out some fantastic activities for us under the overall theme of <\/span><b>\u2018<\/b><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Robots and aliens- the Future! <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Start planning your outfit now for the Character Parade\u2026\u2026.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On a perhaps more serious note, our Year 11, 12 and 13 students commence the exam period next week. This will will occupy them until the 11<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">th<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> June. There is a total of 101 separate examinations and all of them have to carried out under very strict Cambridge Board rules and regulations, and with due respect to our SOP. Thanks must go to Mrs Hallas and Mr Lim who have done a sterling job in the preparation and meticulous organisation for these exams, and to our students for all their hard work in getting this far.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A heads-up at this point that we will be having exams for Years 7 to 10 later on this term in June. These could not take place last year but have been a very long standing tradition at KIS. They are an excellent opportunity for students to review and consolidate their studies and for teachers to see where there needs to be reinforcement in learning. These, like the IGCSEs and A Levels, are carried out in formal conditions and this means that students have that vital practice in self-management which can contribute hugely to successful outcomes.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Finally, On Monday morning at 7.45am we will be having a Secondary assembly. This will be online and a Zoom link has been sent to all students.
