With most of our students back in school, we can really see everyone getting back into the rhythm of day to day classes and supporting the safe environment. On Thursday, I had the pleasure of meeting a number of our new parents at the New Friends Team Coffee Morning arranged by the PTASC. The following day on Friday was the first meeting of the PTASC for the new academic year. Whilst it is a difficult time to arrange events for the PTASC, they are nonetheless, being very proactive and planning ahead.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

We welcomed Andrea Wehrendt who has recently been co-opted to the Steering Committee and we unfortunately had to say goodbye to Nick Park, who has stepped down from the PTASC due to ongoing personal commitments. Positions are still available and if you are or know of someone who is interested, please do contact the PTASC at pta@kis.edu.my<\/a> they will be happy to hear from you.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Further guidance has been received for starting up Sports and ECAs in schools. We will be developing our own SOP to ensure compliance and the safety of all those concerned and will publish to you all in due course how we will be developing our programmes in the very near future. Please remember, our most up-to-date SOP is available on the school website at www.kis.edu.my\/postmcosafety<\/a><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I did mention last week about our examination results for IGCSE and A level have now been finalised and released by Cambridge. We are delighted for all of our examination students who have collectively achieved a fantastic set of results.<\/p>\n

Congratulations to all of our exam students and thank you to all of the staff, past and present who have supported all of our students. We will be publishing further details of our students\u2019 exam success in due course.<\/p>\n

A number of parents have commented positively about the community news section we published at the end of the last academic year. We want to continue to support our community and will be starting the community advert section again next week. If you have or know of any special deals that support our community in Sabah please contact Lisa Ambrose at lambrose@kis.edu.my<\/a> with adverts or for further information.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The end of the school day is going quite smoothly, we have noticed for secondary students, cars pull up opposite the gate to collect students. It would greatly help speed up the process if you could have your child’s name clearly displayed in the front window of your car and as we see you approach we can help get your child ready. Thank you for your support.<\/p>\n
