The past week has gone well and I am delighted to see most of our students able to return with 90% attendance across the week. With some students still in their home countries, thank you for keeping up with the school studies remotely. In school, students and staff have adapted well to the policies (SOP) ensuring a safe environment for all. We have heard recently that we will be able to re-introduce some sports and physical exercise later on in September, further news about this will be sent when we have more details.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Our most up-to-date SOP is available on the school website at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kis.edu.my\/postmcosafety\" class=\"broken_link\">www.kis.edu.my\/postmcosafety<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>A huge thank you to the Early Years team who were working hard to finish off the preparations for the newly designed Early Year\u2019s Centre. Our youngest children now have a modernised open flow, play based learning environment. The children have all enjoyed being in the Centre over this past week and we thank parents for the many positive comments received.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>As mentioned in an earlier letter, the Cambridge Exam Board have reviewed their process for awarding Grades for this past year and students will have received their updated grades yesterday. When the first set of results came just over a week ago, we had already surpassed last year\u2019s grade results, with the updated results we will publish the figures next week.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>If you have not collected your family copy of the Yearbook for 2019-20, this is available to be collected from the school office. Uncollected school photos are also able to be picked up from the school office by parents or students.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>At the end of last year we held a virtual AGM for the PTA, as mentioned then we are still looking for volunteers to join the PTA Steering Committee (PTASC). If you are interested or know of another Parent who is interested in joining, please drop a line to the PTA through their email, pta@kis.edu.my<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This year will obviously be different from usual and whilst we do our best to plan ahead, we do follow directives from the Ministry of Education and Health. With this in mind, please bear with us and be patient if events are postponed or have to be cancelled.
