Wow! What a busy last week of term this has been!<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Monday saw all Primary students have transition afternoon. This is an opportunity for the students to visit the classrooms of the next year group for a little bit of time and get to know who the teachers will be for that year group for the next academic year before they go off on holidays. All new teachers had emailed through either videos or PowerPoint presentations to introduce themselves to the next year groups. As in previous years, class lists will be emailed to parents for next academic year towards the end of the holiday.<\/div>\n

Tuesday saw Gaya become victorious at the KS2 and KS3 Swimming Gala. It was wonderful to see so many primary students battle hard and try their best in each and every race that they competed in. A highlight of the day though has to have been the teachers inflatable race at the end. Pizza, burger and poop battling it out to become victorious!<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Wednesday of course was KIS has talent. I know we have an extremely talented student body at KIS, but it was confirmed for me on Wednesday. Watching the students, sing, perform, dance and play musical instruments was definitely a highlight of the week for me!<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The celebration assembly on Thursday was another notable event this week. Once again I would like to say a huge thank you to the staff and students of KIS for my memory box and gifts. They will travel safely with me back to he UK and sit proudly at home. Every Ka’amatan, I will wear my Rungus costume from the PTA with pride along with my beads. From that assembly to then going in to the Year Six Celebration of their Primary Years, it was a very emotional morning. Watching how the Year Six students have grown and matured over the past eight years of their lives in primary has been a real honour and privilege and one that I will cherish for a very long time. Thursday afternoon also saw primary parties happening of course. The students had great fun playing games and making memories with their teachers and friends.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
I would like to take this opportunity to wish each and every one of you all the best where ever you will be in the world over the holiday and next academic year. All of you in the KIS community have played a large part in the lives of myself and my family over the past 13 years. It was not an easy decision to make to return to the UK, but it was the right decision to make for our family. It is with very mixed emotions that we leave you all. We will miss the family community of KIS and the friends we leave behind, but we are looking forward to being closer to our English family and teaching our boys how to be British. KK will always be our kampung and we will balik kampung in the future and pop in to see everyone. Until then Jumpa Lagi!<\/div>\n

Dear KIS Community,<\/p>\n

I would like to thank you for an amazing year of community and charitable giving. We have had some wonderful events this year at KIS and they have all been possible because of your support and with the help of the teacher and ground staff.<\/p>\n

Our Christmas Fair was full of festive fun, Family Fun Day brought us all together to share a day of real community and the Summer Fair proved to be truly inspiring. You gave so generously for the Food and Book drives and for this we are very grateful.<\/p>\n

I would like to wish you all a great summer holiday and hope that you continue to support Miss Ann as she takes over the reins as Community Liaison Officer in August.<\/p>\n
