Have you heard of the 2 Minute Day?

It will be celebrated on Sunday 27th June at 2pm. You dedicate your time, and take just 2 minutes out of your day to clean streets/beaches or have 2 minutes to yourself. The 2 Minute Foundation have started a trend to turn marine waste into beach-cleaning equipment, and then to use that equipment during the 2 Minute Day.

The Foundation built prototype beach cleaning equipment made from marine litter. The charity’s founder said that it had been a dream of his since he had first organized a beach clean in 2007. Dorey’s aim was to spread the fact that marine litter “can be used for good instead of going to landfill or continuing to choke our oceans.”

If you do get out, why not pick up some litter for recycling or disposal?
