A comment from the Principal……….
At KIS we pride ourselves on offering a broad, balanced education that seeks to educate the whole child. We do this as part of an ethos which also incorporates a pursuit of academic excellence and in this context we have much to celebrate after receiving news of these impressive results. Talented students, first class teachers and wonderful support from family and friends are usually common factors in academic success and I believe all KIS students and adults can use these results to inspire their own learning and development as we seek to reach our full potential. It is only four years ago that the KIS Board of Management made the decision to plan and deliver an A Level programme and in such circumstances there are few schools that could boast of three ‘best in country’ awards and one ‘best in the world award’ in the first two years of running the programme—a truly magnificent effort by all those involved in making the vision of the BOM become a reality. Indeed, in the wake of our 40th anniversary celebrations last year I have no doubt that those founding families who created KIS in a house way back in 1973 would be proud of a school that has gone on to help students achieve exam results that place them in the top echelons of learning across the world. Congratulations to our students and their families and well done KIS!
