Kinabalu International School is very proud to announce another excellent set of results for our Year 11 and 13 classes of 2017-18. 99% of IGCSE exams sat by our students were passed with close to 90% being awarded the top grades of A* to C in the Cambridge IGCSEs. With such excellent results, many students are staying on at KIS to pursue their A Level examinations.
In the fifth year of our Cambridge International A Level programme, students gained a 97% pass rate for exams taken, with nearly 70% awarded the top grades of A* to C. We are extremely proud that our recent graduates have been accepted to study a range of courses at degree level at universities around the world, including medicine, music, aviation, zoology and information technology.
Cambridge International Assessmentโs IGCSE and A Level examinations are some of the most academically challenging courses on offer to students aged between 14 and 18 years of age and are highly regarded by universities and employers around the world. Following the completion of between 8 and 10 IGCSE examinations, the A Level programme offers students an opportunity to study up to four subjects in more depth from a stimulating and varied range of subjects, including Sciences, Humanities, Mathematics, English Literature, Business, Languages, Sports and the Arts.
KIS Principal Mr Ian Gross commented: โWe are extremely proud of the hard work and achievements of our IGCSE and A Level students. We would like to congratulate our students and we thank their families and our staff for their support in their studies. At KIS we offer a broad range of subjects, which are taught by our team of experienced, committed and fully qualified teachers who always challenge our students to achieve their full potential.โ
